Innovation serves as the primary driving force for economic development. As fundamental units of the socioeconomic system, the innovation investments of individual enterprises not only form the foundation for their long-term development but also play a crucial role in shaping the global innovation landscape. A direct manifestation of corporate R&D capabilities lies in both the quantity and quality of patents. However, patent quality cannot be assessed through a single dimension – metrics such as patent citations, grant ratios, technological coverage, and number of claims all serve as critical evaluation criteria.
In an era of evolving innovation paradigms, relying on singular indicators for innovation studies has become obsolete. The academic community increasingly demands more granular patent data. USDataverse, in collaboration with third-party partners, presents global patent data encompassing comprehensive patent information from multiple countries, including invention patents, utility model patents, and design patents. Specifically, we categorize the data into six modules: Basic Patent Information Table, Patent Citation Table (excluding design patents), Patent Cited Table, Patent Literature Citation Table, Patent Transaction Table, and Patent Classification Table. With complete fields and rational structure, this database provides more comprehensive and robust data support for research in this field.
